In the final session of our "Moving to the Web Client" series, we turn our attention to document scanning and how it's handled within the Grooper 2025 web client.

Scanning is often the starting point of a Batch Process, capturing paper documents and bringing them into Grooper for automated processing. The Scan Viewer, the web client's scanning interface, gives users a browser-based way to capture documents, review captured images, and submit them to the next step in the process.

This 30-minute session explores how scanning works in the web client and how the experience compares with workflows familiar to users of older Grooper versions. You will see practical examples of how users connect a scanner, capture single or multi-page documents, review and adjust captured images before submission, and send batches on for further processing. We'll also cover Grooper Desktop, the lightweight companion application that enables scanning from the browser.

Rather than covering every available configuration option, this session focuses on helping experienced Grooper users understand the modern scanning experience. We'll highlight what remains familiar, explain what has changed, and show how the web client carries established scanning concepts forward into the browser-based interface of newer releases.

As the closing installment of this series, this live learning event brings together the concepts covered in previous sessions, giving customers the full picture needed to prepare for the transition from older versions approaching the end of development support, and the confidence to move forward with Grooper 2025.
