In the seventh session of our ongoing webinar series, we explore how CSS styling can be used to customize the Data Grid in Grooper Data Models and create a more effective experience for users reviewing and entering document data.
Grooper allows designers to use CSS to control how Data Fields, Data Sections, and Data Tables are presented in the Data Grid. With relatively simple styling, you can adjust field widths, spacing, borders, colors, and layouts; organize fields into list, flow, or card-style interfaces; and even create layouts that more closely mirror the structure of the original document. These techniques can make complex Data Models easier to navigate and reduce the amount of visual searching required during Review.
This 30-minute session introduces the fundamentals of Data Grid customization and demonstrates practical examples of how CSS can improve the review experience. You will see how styles can be applied directly within Data Model configuration and how reusable CSS files can be referenced through the Included Style Sheets property to standardize styling across Data Models, Data Sections, and Data Tables.
As with the rest of this series, the goal is not to turn Grooper designers into web developers. Instead, we’ll focus on approachable, useful techniques that existing Grooper customers can apply as they become familiar with the capabilities available in newer versions of Grooper and prepare to transition confidently to Grooper 2025.
